Central Texas Science and Engineering Fair

I am very excited to welcome you to the 2009 Central Texas Science and Engineering Fair (CTSEF) and invite you to participate in this annual event. The mission of the fair is to advance the education of science, mathematics, engineering, and social sciences by stimulating students’ thinking and creativity through hands-on research implementing the scientific method. You will have the opportunity to display your research, compete with peers, receive recognition for achievement, and advance to higher levels of competition. CTSEF looks forward to your participation in this year’s fair.

CENTRAL TEXAS SCIENCE and ENGINEERING FAIR
When:	February 26 - 27 , 2009
Where:	Texas State Technical College
Who:	Any student currently in the 6th through 12th grade in Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan, Milam, Navarro, or Robertson counties who participates in a local fair.

DEADLINE FOR CORRECTIONS: Friday, January 9

DEADLINE FOR COMPLETED ENTRY: Monday, February 2

DEADLINE FOR BU SCHOLARSHIP and BRYCE C. BROWN AWARD APPLICATION: Monday, February 2

DEADLINES FOR RECEIPT OF PAPERWORK AND PREAPPROVAL
All paperwork must be received by 5:00 PM the first Tuesday of each month to be reviewed by the committee during the second week of each month. The last day to submit any new project for initial review is December 5 ( no exceptions ). The following are the deadlines for the receipt of paperwork.

September 16 October 7 October 21 November 4 December 2

REGIONAL IRB MEETINGS
Regional IRB meetings will be held on the second Monday and Tuesday of each month at Baylor University - Rogers Engineering Building- Room 207- 2nd Floor at 6:00 PM. Appointments and receipt of paperwork must be made by the first Tuesday of each month for students requiring regional IRB review. (Additional review dates may be scheduled for the months of December and January).
